East of Eado is a Houston-based alt-rock band built on the synergy of five talented friends with a variety of different musical tastes and backgrounds, coming together to create a truly unique sound. Drawing inspiration from several genres, East of Eado mixes the spacey ambiance of post-rock with the energy and melodic earworms of pop-punk, J-Rock, and alternative to create a sound that they like to describe as “ambient energy.”
Their aptly named debut EP “After Dark” was recorded overnight in several 12am to 8am sessions at the historic Sugarhill Studios in Houston. After Dark is an homage both in name and style to rock bands past and present while also deftly incorporating atmospheric and poppy elements. It has already been put on countless playlists and received thousands of listeners in the few months following its release and its audience continues to grow.
The band is now gearing up for a string of local shows while continuing to write and record new material. They want to get their music out to every part of the Lone Star State and then, hopefully, the world. Above all, the goal of the band with every show they play and every song they write is to create music that’s relatable so that the audience can have as much fun listening to it as they have creating it.
